A student wiki set up, written and managed by final year Commerce/German students (NUIG) to assist second year students to prepare for the year abroad in Germany. This wiki is an ongoing collaborative language project and now in its second year.

Online German Homework Submission Wiki

Since September 2009, all students at the Shannon College of Hotel Management can submit their homework using an online wiki.  Using a mult-coloured scheme (not all red!) the lecturer corrects the homework online, adding error correction, focused feedback on errors, general comments and hyperlinks from errors to more detailed error explanation-pages.  All submissions and corrective feedback/comments are preserved in the wiki, assisting students in revision and informing classroom instruction.  All classroom discussion or white-board writing is also typed into the wiki, providing a relevant vocabulary source for students' homework production.
